History

This Decoration was established by the Council of Ministers in 2009, and is currently administered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

It is awarded to Polish citizens for outstanding contributions to international affairs and the promotion of Poland on the international stage.

The obverse features initials that stand for "Minisrerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych" (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and "Rzeczpospolita Polska" (Republic of Poland). The reverse inscription features "Poland" in six different languages. The design truncates some of these inscriptions.
