History
The Decoration for Merit to Labour Protection was established by the Council of Ministers in 2004 as a replacement for the Decoration for Merit to Labour Protection that was awarded in the Polish People’s Republic and the first years of the new Republic. It is currently awarded by the Chief Labour Inspector to Polish citizens and organisations, as well as foreigners, in recognition of meritorious contributions to labour protection.
The Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "For Merit to Labour Protection," and a reverse inscription that can be translated to "National Labour Inspectorate."
See also the Decoration for Merit to Labour Protection (POL572) in the Medals & Decorations of the Polish People’s Republic (1944-1989).
