History

The Decoration of Honour for Local Government was established by the Council of Ministers in 2015. It is currently awarded by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration to Polish citizens in recognition of outstanding contributions to local government chapters.

The Silver Medal features an obverse inscription that can be translated to "For Merit in Local Government," and a reverse inscription that can be translated to "Work Conquers All."
