History

The Order of the Military Cross was established by the Republic of Poland in 2006. It is conferred in recognition of bravery and sacrifice while fighting terrorism in Poland, or abroad during foreign deployments of the Armed Forces in peacetime.

The Grand Cross Breast Star is conferred upon military Commanders in recognition of acts of bravery in combination with skilful leadership in combat.
