History

The Order of Commercial and Industrial Merit was established in 2000. It is conferred upon Romanian citizens and foreigners in recognition of meritorious service rendered to Romanian commerce and industry.

Membership in the Grand Officer grade is limited to 300 members.

The Grand Officer is identical to the Commander, however, only the Grand Officer is worn with a Breast Star.

The Grand Officer features a reverse inscription that translates to "Industrial and Commercial Merit."
