History

The Medal was established in 1996 by president Leonid Kuchma.

It is awarded to officers of the Armed Forces, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Security Service, National Guard, Border Troops and Civil Defence of Ukraine. The medal is conferred to one of these individuals for “reaching a high level of combat training, commanding subordinates effectively and serving with excellent performance. This version is awarded to a person who meets the above criteria and have been in service for at least 15 years.

The obverse inscription translates to “Impeccable Service”.
