This Medal was conferred upon members of the Opera Nazionale Balilla (ONB) to recognize exceptional merit.

These medals may be stamped with the engraver and manufacturer marks "P. TAILETTI Z," or have no marks at all. The medals stamped with the manufacturer mark "Z" were minted at the Royal Mint in Rome.
