History

The Portuguese Red Cross Star of Honour is the highest decoration awarded by the Portuguese Red Cross. It is awarded to the President of Portuguese Red Cross and may also be awarded to other individuals or groups who have provided distinguished service to the organisation.

There are two versions of the Silver Breast Star that differ in inscription. The first version features the former motto of the International Commi ...  ttee of the Red Cross, which translates to "In War, Charity." The second version does not have an inscription.
