Physical Description

A medal constructed of bronze, the obverse is enamelled with the white shield of the Burgundy Cross underneath a sacred heart with laurel on a blue enamel background, the white enamel border reads DIOS PATRIA REY H. ALFONSO CARLOS, the reverse is plain, on a white ribbon with red trim.

History

The Carlist Medal for Alfonso Carlos War Hospital was established during the Spanish Civil War for the services rendered by the Alfonso Carlos War Hospital in Pamplona and the nurses who volunteered at the hospital.
