Physical Description

A circular medal constructed of silver, the obverse bears the image of the personification of Catalonia holding a shield in one hand and the other pointing to a group of armed men, with a banner with the inscription DEU PATRIA REI, and 1808 at the bottom below the personification of Catalonia, the reverse bears the image of a crowned shield of Catalonia with laurel branches and a banner with the inscription APLECH DE LAS JOVENTUS CARLINAS, and under the inscription MANRESA 1908, signed on the obverse A. Parera, with loop for suspension.

History

The medal was minted in 1908 in commemoration of the Carlist Youth of Manresa for the 100 years of Spanish Independence.
