History


The Medal for the Foundation of the Montepío of Málaga was authorized by Charles III in 1776. It was founded in commemoration of the establishment of the Royal Development Loan Institution of the Diocese of Málaga.

The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates to "Charles III Father of the Homeland."
