History

The Cross for Baeza, Ubeda, and Castril was established in Spain by Royal Decree of 20th of March, 1838. It was awarded to Spanish forces who pursued the Carlist Expeditionary Army through Andalusia in February 1838.

The Cross was conferred upon the troops under the command of Don Laureano Sanz.

The Cross has not inscriptions on it, and features a plain reverse.

The ribbon is decorated with a clasp reading, "LA REINA A LOS LIBERTADORES DE LAS ANDALUCÍAS. BAEZA, UBEDA Y CASTRIL 5 Y 27 DE FEBRERO DE 1838". This inscription can be translated to "The Queen to the Liberators of the Andalusia: Baeza, Ubeda Y Castril 5th and 27th of February, 1838."
