The Medal for Caspe was authorized in Spain by the regency of Baldomero Espartero on December 3, 1842. It was conferred upon the military personnel who participated in the defense of Caspe against Carlist forces in 1838.
The Medal features an obverse inscription that translates "Isabella II to her Defenders," and a reverse inscription that can be translated to "he Certified his Courage in the Siege of Caspe."
