The Star for Morella was founded in Spain by the regency of Maria Christina on July 8, 1840. It was conferred upon the Army of the North who participated in the attack and siege of the city of Morella on May 30, 1840.

The Star features an obverse inscription that translates "Expeditionary Army of the North," and a reverse inscription that translates "Morella May 30, 1840."
