History


The Cross for the Actions of Mora and Consuegra was founded by Royal Decree on March 29, 1817. It was conferred upon Spanish forces led by Duke of Alburquerque, who defeated French troops commanded by General Dijon at Mora and Consuegra on February 18 and 22, 1809.

There are some versions without inscriptions.

Some versions feature an obverse inscription that stands to "Mora and Consuegra," and a reverse inscription that stands to "Alburquerque."
