History
The Cross for the Seventh Army was founded in Spain by King Ferdinand VII on May 19, 1815. It was conferred upon the members of the Seventh Army commanded by Don Gabriel de Mendizabel, who fought against French forces in battles that took place in Castile the Old, Asturias, Aragon, and Navarra between 1810-1814.
The Cross features an obverse inscription that translates to "From the King, to the 7th Army."
