In silver, 31mm, with original ribbon, nice patina, extremely fine.

History


Established by King Oscar I, in commemoration of his father King Karl XIV Johan, this Medal was initally conferred upon Swedish and Norwegian Army Deputies who had been present at the King Karl XIV Johan Statue unveiling.

This Medal was later conferred upon officer,s who under King Karl Johans command, rendered service in German and Norwegian campaigns.
