History
The Medal of the 10th of August 1792 was donated on August 7, 1817 by the federal government.
It was awarded to all persons of the French Swiss Guard, who had participated in the uprising of August 10, 1792 in the defense of the Paris Tuileries Palace.
The round medal shows on the obverse the federal coat of arms shield with the inscription "TREUE UND EHRE". The reverse is surrounded with a laurel wreath and inscripted the date "X AUGUST MDCCXCII".
The ribbon is red with white margins on the left chest. The band shows a white embroidered Swiss cross.
