History

This medal may be conferred to recognize meritorious service within the Military, Public Sector, Disaster Relief, and Foreign Aid.

The colour of the ribbon changes according to which service type the recipient is being recognized for.

The ribbon associated with Military Service medals is red with a thin white stripe along both exterior edges, and is decorated with crossed swords.

The ribbon associate ...  d with Service in the Public Sector is red with a thick white stripe along both exterior edges.

The ribbon associated with Disaster Relief Service is white with a thick red stripe along both exterior edges.

The ribbon associated with Foreign Aid Service is white with a thick red stripe along both exterior edges, and a thin red strip down the centre of the ribbon.
