The Commemorative Medal for Postal Services (1924) was established by Royal Decree on May 2, 1924 in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the first Belgian stamp and the 50th anniversary of Belgium's role in the establishment of the Universal Postal Union. It was awarded to civil servants and postal workers for at least 25 of service in the Belgian Postal Services. It was also awarded to retired workers who had served for 25 years.
The obverse inscription translates to "The Stamp in Belgium," and the reverse inscription translates to "Universal Postal Union." The medal could be inscribed in Dutch if requested.
