History

This cross is awarded to participants of the Lapland Continuation War.

The original name of the cross is "Jatkosodan Lapin risti".

The cross with an eyelet and loop for ribbon suspension shows on the face an upright sword bearing a snowflake imposed in the center. The reverse is plain.

The ribbon may be decorated by a clasp reading "1944-45" which were instituted in 1990.
