History

The Cross was instituted on February 27, 1938 and is awarded to participants of the White Finnish campaign of 1918-1922.

The Finnish Name of the Cross is "Heimosotaristi".

The cross with eyelet and loop for ribbon suspension has on it‘s observe stylised spruce branches between the arms. Moreover, it has a cross pattée imposed with a bear standing upright and holding a sword.

There are four swords between the arms of the cross emanating from a central rose of Finland on the reserve. The extremities of the upper and lower arms of the cross are each decorated with three roses of Finland.

The lateral arms inscribed with the dates "1918-1922".
