History

The National Convention opened on September 21, 1792, but is unknown whether the Medal for Room Attendants was instituted on this same day.

It is not clear if the composition denotes the rank of the recipient.

The Medal is engraved. The obverse inscription translates to “French Republic, Equality, Room Service” and the reverse inscription translates to “National Convention, Liberty, Room Service.”

The National Convention Medal is translated from French "Medailles La Convention Nationale."
