The Commemorative Medal for Voluntary Services in Free France was awarded to all French military, French civilians and foreigners who served in the Free French Forces prior to August 1, 1943 and in foreign territories or territories controlled under the National Committee in London prior to June 3, 1943.
Medals were not awarded after July 7, 1958. A total of 13469 Medals were awarded.
The obverse inscription translates to “Free France,” and the reverse inscription translates to “18 June 1940, 8 May 1945.”
