History

This Medal was issued by the Association des Dames Française (ADF) to its members. This association, founded in 1879, was separate from other contemporaneous societies.

It was absorbed into the Croix-Rouge Française along with the Société des Secours aux Blessés Militaires (SSBM), and the Union des Femmes de France (UFF) in 1940.

The obverse inscription translates to "Association of French Ladies."

There may be additional versions which vary in suspension or suspension clasp.
