History
This Medal was awarded by Governor-Generals of Indochina to personnel of the Indochina Railways for 15 years of meritorious service. A maximum of 100 medals were awarded annually to natives, and an additional 10 were awarded to Europeans.
The obverse inscription translates to “French Indochina,” and the reverse inscription translates to “Railways.”
The Indochina Medal was replaced on June 19, 1939 by the Medal of Honour for Overseas Railways.
