The Police Medal (Indochina) was awarded by the Governor-General of Indochina to police officers for 15 years of meritorious service.
This Medal has two versions which vary in inscription. The first version has an obverse inscription that translates to “French Indochina,” and the second version has an obverse inscription that translates to “French Republic.” Both versions have a reverse inscription that translates to “Honour and Merit, Indochina.”
The first ribbon had horizontal stripes of red, black and green, but was changed to a second ribbon of red, green, and yellow in 1925.
There may be additional versions of the Medal that vary in thickness and weight.
