History

This Medal was issued by the Société de Secours aux Blessés Militaires (SSBM) to all members who rendered service in World War I.

The obverse inscription translates to "French Society of Aid for Wounded Military in the Armies of Land and Sea ."

The may be additional versions which vary in composition.
