Physical Description
An ovular decoration constructed of silver gilt. The centre bears the cut-out initials "FCJ" for Friederike Caroline Juliane, encompassed by an oak leaf wreath topped with a royal crown. On a loop for suspension, on a green ribbon with white stripes.
History
The Dowager Duchess Friederike of Anhalt-Bernburg Commemorative Decoration was founded on October 9, 1901 to commemorate Dowager Duchess Friederike of Anhalt-Bernburg's 90th birthday. The inscription FCJ stands for Friederike Caroline Juliane. The Decoration was awarded 130 times throughout the birthday celebration. Nineteen of the awards were conferred upon members of royalty. Two additional decorations were awarded subsequently.
