Physical Description
A rectangular bar constructed of bronze gilt, on a green ribbon bar with yellow stripes. The bar features a central Roman numeral "XXI" within the inscription "ALEX CARL".
History
The Long Service Bar was established in March 24, 1847 by Duke Alexander Carl. The bar was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers, military surgeons, members of the police force, and Enlisted Men. The I Class Bar was awarded to those who who rendered 21 years of military service. The awarding of the Long Service Bar ended on May 8, 1864.
A total of 54 I Class Bars were awarded.
