Physical Description

A rectangular bar constructed of iron, on a red and white striped ribbon bar. The obverse bears the image of the castle of Hamburg on a smooth background with a smooth border. The reverse bears the Roman numeral "X".

History

The Long Service Bar was established by the Senate of Hamburg on July 30, 1858. The Long Service Bar for 10 Years in Iron was conferred upon Non-Commissioned Officers and Enlisted Men who rendered 10 years of active military service.
