The Commemorative War Medal, 1813-1815 was founded by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. It was awarded to individuals who participated in the Liberation Wars against Napoleon and remained true to their duties for the duration of the conflict.
The Medal for Non-Combatants was awarded to individuals who rendered exceptional service during the Liberation Wars and were not directly involved in combat.
