The German name of the award is ‘St. Joachims-Orden, Stern zum Kreuz des Großmeisters'.

Physical Description

An eight-sided star, constructed of silver and gold wire embroidery. The star is in gold and features short rays in between the eight main rays. In the centre is a silver Maltese cross with a sequin border. The cross’ centre medallion features a green cross, the medallion ring features silver sequin bordering. The reverse is smooth and enforced with cardboard.

History

The Order of St. Joachim was instituted by Prince Christian Franz. The purpose of the order was to aid the needy of all religious denominations.
