History
The Le Fère-Champenoise Victory Medal was instituted on April 16, 1814 by King Friedrich I of Württemberg. It was established as a commemorative medal for the Battle of Fère-Champenoise and Paris, which was fought between the French and a coalition force from the Austrian Empire, the Kingdom of Württemberg, the Kingdom of Prussia, and the Russian Empire.
The Silver Medal was conferred upon enlisted personnel who demonstrated bravery and merit during the siege.
