Standard or flag bearers of a Gefolgschaft (in October of 1938 for DJ Fähnlein flag bearers as well) wore a special cloth shield on the right upper arm. It is black with a white border, and features a white eagle with folded wings sitting on top of the HJ insignia, the so-called HJ diamond.
