History
The Commemorative Medal for Peacekeeping Operations was established by Royal Decree in 2001 as the Commemorative Medal for Peacekeeping Operations. Its current name was established in 2016. It replaced the Commemorative Medal for UN Peacekeeping Operations and the Commemorative Medal for Multinational Peace Operations.
It is awarded to Dutch civilians, military personnel, and foreigners under Dutch command for at least 30 days of service in peacekeeping operations. In 2005, it was extended to police officers who served in peacekeeping operations.
Bronze clasps are attached to the ribbon to signify the operation(s) in which the recipient participated. They include:
