The Wedding Medal (1901) was established in commemoration of the marriage of Queen Wilhelmina to Henry, Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

The Bronze Medal was awarded to low-ranking employees of the Royal House, and those who had worked to ensure the seamless conduct of the wedding ceremony.
