History

Awarded by the Naval Society, this Medal is conferred upon honourary members of the association and to individuals who have rendered meritorious service.

There are two known obverse designs of the medal. The initial obverse design consisted of the old Norwegian coat of arms, and when redesigned in 1905, the obverse design consisted of the new design of the Norwegian coat of arms.
