History

Established in commemoration of King Carl XVI Gustaf's 70 year anniversary as king, this Medal is conferred upon members of the Royal Family, members of the Royal Court, and Royal Academy, foreign heads of state, and other individuals who participated in the jubilee celebrations.

When conferred upon women, this Medal is worn on a bow ribbon.
