History


The Earl of St. Vincent's Medal is a privately struck medal that was presented by Earl St. Vincent in 1800. It was conferred in recognition of the loyalty of the Officers and men of his flagship, Ville De Paris, displayed by not taking part in the mutiny of the Nore in 1979. The Silver Medal was awarded to Petty Officers and below.

Medals that are engraved and named are worth at least twice as much as unnamed specimens.
