History


The Hanoverian Medal for Waterloo was established by the Prince Regent, the future George IV, in 1817. It was awarded to all surviving Hanoverian troops who participated in the Battle of Waterloo on June 18, 1815.
The medal was designed by William Wyon.
There may be additional versions that differ in size.
