History
The Iraq Active Service Medal was instituted by King Faisal I on May 15th, 1926. The Bronze Medal is awarded to members of the army and royal air force in recognition of general active service in campaigns in Iraq between 1924 and 1938. The Medal is also known as the "King Faisal's War Medal".
Clasps with an Arabic inscription denoting the date of the campaign recognized are authorized for wear with the Bronze Medal. The English translation of the clasps are as follows:
1. "1930-31"
2. "1932"
3. "1935"
4. "1936"
The Bronze Medal features an Obverse Arabic inscription that translates to "General Service" and a reverse Arabic inscription that translates to, "King Faisal I 1344."
