History

The Permanent Forces of the Empire Beyond the Seas Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was established by King Edward VII by Royal Warrant in 1909 as a replacement to the Colonial Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. The Silver Medal was awarded to Warrant Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and other ranks of Colonial and Dominion Forces in recognition of 18 years of exemplary service. The Medal was superseded by the Long Service and Good Conduct (Military) Medal with the Colonial or Dominion clasp in 1930.

There is a King Edward VII and King George V version of the Medal.
