The ANZAC Commemorative Medal was jointly instituted by the Australian and New Zealand governments in 1967 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli. The Bronze Medal is awarded to surviving veterans or the next of kin of army personnel who served in the Gallipoli campaign during the First World War.
The award of the Medal was issued with a certificate and surviving veteran recipients of the Medal were also awarded a lapel badge.
