History

The Chinese Maritime Customs Service Meritorious Service Medal was awarded to members of the Chinese Maritimes Customs Service in recognition of 25 years of service. The Medal was awarded in Gold, Silver, and Bronze according to rank. Later awards in Silver or Gold could be made upon the promotion to a higher rank or in recognition of exceptional service after the outbreak of the Chinese and Japanese conflict in 1931.

The Medal features an obverse Chinese inscription and the recipient's name engraved on the reverse.
