History
The Shelter Triangle Cape was made of water repellent cotton drill. Its shape is triangular, but it was intended as a piece of clothing, not a tarpaulin.
Both sides have the green “splinter” camouflage pattern, but one was lighter and one darker. There are 31 metal buttons per side and 30 button holes, so the cape could be buttoned up in several different ways, depending on which purpose it was supposed to serve. There is also a double flapped opening in the centre to pull it over the head.
