History
Prior to 1933, many non-official and homemade varieties of flags for the German Youngsters (Deutsches Jungvolk = DJ) were in use, due to a lack of official regulations.
On September 1, 1934, flags for Jungbanne, Fähnlein, and Jungenschaften were officially introduced.
This pennant is in the shape of a square. On the obverse, it shows red, white, and red horizontal stripes with a black swastika on point on a white square. Above the swastika is the word “Gebiet” (district), followed by the district's number. Below the swastika the district name is stated.
The reverse is black with a white Siegrune.
