History

A round disc (Armscheibe) with a Siegrune was worn by the DJ equivalent officer ranks, both non-commissioned and commissioned. It was worn on the upper left sleeve.

It is unknown when this was first introduced, but unofficially it was done before 1933. Standardization was achieved in 1935.

Gebietsjungvolkführer wore a silver-coloured rune on dark red with silver-coloured piping around the outer edge.

Gebietsjungvolkführer assigned to a Gebiet wore a gold-coloured rune on bright red with two layers of gold-coloured piping around the outer edge. Those assigned to a Gebiet Staff wore a silver-coloured rune on carmine with two layers of silver-coloured piping around the outer edge, and those assigned to the Reichsjugendführung (RJF) Staff wore a gold-coloured rune on carmine with two layers of gold piping around the outer edge.

This was in effect between 1933 and 1936. In April 1936, with the discontinuation of the Oberbann system, the arm discs of all ranks above Jungbannführer were discontinued as well. From then on, they wore the regular HJ armband instead.
