    The "Stoßtrupp Adolf Hitler 1923" Cuff Title was introduced on May 25, 1936, and it was conferred upon the original members of Adolf Hitler’s bodyguard detail. The "Stoßtrupp Hitler" was a bodyguard unit formed in 1923 that was originally composed of eight Hitler loyalists. The unit was commanded by Julius Schreck and never included more than 20 men. The unit participated in the failed Beer Hall Putsch in 1923 and was disbanded ...   shortly thereafter.
