History
In 1828, Anton Michelsen became a goldsmith. After traveling to Berlin and Paris in 1840, he opened a shop in Copenhagen in 1841. In 1848, he was the designated court jeweller. His son, Carl succeed him, and became the court jeweller to the Tsar of Russia and the King of Great Britain.
In turn, his son, Captain Paul Ulrich became a silversmith in 1911, and joined the family company in 1914. After serving in the military, he took over the company in 1923.
In the 1970s, the firm was controlled by Mr. Jorgen Michelsen.
